This is the list of the candidate vehicle models for conversion into EV, agreed after independend selection exercise and then merged into one list with a top-10 candidates.
The list is not ordered, so we consider all models equally candidate.

Vehicle selection method
Initially we supposed to choose one of the vehicles in the list, to start the mechanical dimensioning process, and at the same time to buy it from the market of used cars. But we immediately understood that we were not able to find the exact model we had spent our efforts doing the mechanical dimensioning. Thus, we decided to do the mechanical dimensioning of all the ten car models in the list. This guarantees us that we have more chances to find and buy a used car of one of the ten candidate models. When we find it, all the mechanical dimensioning will be available for the next project stages.
Candidate vehicles data collection for mechanical dimensioning
This is the list of the candidate vehicle models filled with all the technical data useful for the mechanical dimensioning stage. Data contained in this list will be used to fill the Excel project files in the GitHub repository. Data comes from various Internet sources and are specific of the 1.4 liters gasoline engine version of each specific car model.
From the data collection process, we determined that in the vehicles’ B segment (subcompact cars) collected values were almost the same. That is the reason why we added the Average Model line (the one highlighted in orange), were we determined the average values of each column of the worksheet. The Average Model data will be used to define the mechanical dimensioning to choose our reference electrical powertrain.
